The problem AmanaFi solves
AmanaFi addresses the pressing need for a financial platform that merges ethical principles with the innovative potential of decentralised finance (DeFi). Traditional financial systems and many existing DeFi platforms often lack inclusive, ethical solutions, particularly for the unbanked and those seeking Sharia-compliant options. AmanaFi fills this gap by offering a platform rooted in Islamic finance principles, which emphasise fairness, transparency, and social responsibility.
With a growing global interest in blockchain and ethical finance—evidenced by a blockchain and crypto user base exceeding 400 million and the Islamic finance sector reaching $2.88 trillion in 2023—AmanaFi stands at the intersection of two rapidly expanding markets. Additionally, with over 1.7 billion people worldwide remaining unbanked, the need for accessible, ethical financial solutions has never been more critical.
AmanaFi ensures that financial services are not only accessible but also aligned with values that prioritise the common good. By integrating these principles with the borderless and decentralised nature of blockchain, AmanaFi creates a financial ecosystem that empowers individuals and communities, particularly those traditionally overlooked by conventional banking.

Challenges I ran into
The challenges were finding documentation, guides, testnet token addresses, and SDKs on the Haqq Network. Also, the time limit since I have no team yet and knew about this Hackathon just short of the deadline. Overcame everything by searching on Github, YouTube, and using tools and SDKs.
