AltInvest creates an opportunity for small companies to get funds for short term. It helps companies with the lack of cashflow by preserving their credit lines in a quick time. It gives an opportunity to investors to invest their crypto in real world assets thus providing them with an opportunity of diversification of their investments.
AltInvest helps investors in generating steady return over investments. AltInvest uses Invoices as RWAs to avail money to small companies or anyone who is looking for short term money. Invoice discounting works on the lower risk, so this brings lower risk to the investors. Unlike other investments this is a short term investment, the period of investment can be as short as 30 days.
Invoice discounting allows to have immediate cash from investors against company's outstanding invoices. This helps in maintaining steady cash flow and meeting short-term financial obligations. Companies can choose which invoices to discount and when, based on the cash-flow needs so it brings quick access to funds. The cost of financing is based on the discount rate applied to the invoices. These rates are typically lower than the interest rates charged by banks for the loan.
One of my challenges was of figuring out the invoice-discounting itself. But once I learnt it was awesome to know that even invoices can be used for making finance better. Though there are multiple resources available on the internet, going through each, lead to more confusion in the beginning. Understanding finance terms and then learning to calculate XIRR and some other stuff wasn't the cakewalk for me, but it's worth it And bringing them onchain was even more challenging.
There is this funny story, whenever I used to think that now the smart contract is fully done, I used deploy. After starting integration with frontend, I again was back, okay, I'll need other parameters as well in blockchain.
I iterated through this for multiple times. More number of times than what I had thought for.
