How It Makes Tasks Easier and Safer
We faced challenges integrating our frontend with our backend. Writing the smart contract code was manageable, but deploying it on the Cardona testnet was difficult. Polygon Cardona is relatively new compared to the Mumbai testnet, and many dependencies were deprecated, requiring us to find alternatives.
Deploying on the Cardona testnet had a steep learning curve. Unlike the Mumbai testnet, Cardona has limited documentation and community support, making troubleshooting complex. The lack of mature development tools and libraries for Cardona meant we often relied on trial and error.
The deprecation of dependencies added complexity. We had to ensure new dependencies were compatible with our codebase, involving extensive research, testing, and modifications.
We addressed these challenges by documenting issues and solutions, reaching out to the developer community, and learning about the Cardona ecosystem. This involved studying documentation, participating in webinars, and experimenting with deployment approaches.
Despite the hurdles, our efforts paid off. We successfully deployed our smart contract on the Cardona testnet and integrated our frontend with the backend. The experience highlighted the importance of adaptability, continuous learning, and community engagement in overcoming technical challenges.
