Classroom learning ignores diversity in people. How can AI help bridge the gap between teaching at scale and individual needs?
In traditional classroom settings, students have diverse learning styles, speeds, and needs. However, mass education systems struggle to provide personalized learning experiences, leading to disengagement and unequal learning outcomes. Our challenge was to build an AI-powered system that could offer personalized, real-time learning support to students, allowing them to receive targeted assistance based on their unique needs, at scale.
Our AI-powered learning assistant allows students to receive personalized guidance anytime they need it. The assistant adapts to each student’s learning style, helping them progress at their own pace. It provides tailored responses, real-time feedback, and additional practice recommendations to ensure each student gets the help they need. This makes learning more flexible and accessible, reducing frustration and supporting individual growth in large classrooms. The AI-based system also helps educators manage diverse classrooms more efficiently by automating personalized student interactions.
One of the major challenges was optimizing the performance of our AI model in real-time to handle a large number of users simultaneously without latency. Integrating the Llama AI model with Groq API posed some difficulties in maintaining response speed under high load. We overcame this by using optimized GPU acceleration and caching frequently asked questions to reduce computation time for similar queries.
