A guideline trainer is a tool that can help individuals improve their skills in a particular activity, such as playing billiards or pool. The tool works by providing visual cues or guidelines on the playing surface, which help players develop a better understanding of how to aim and hit the ball accurately.
One of the main problems that a guideline trainer solves is the lack of consistency in a player's aim and shot execution. Without proper training, it can be challenging for players to hit the ball consistently, especially when attempting more complex shots.
A guideline trainer can help players improve their accuracy by providing a visual aid that shows them where to aim the cue ball and how to hit it. This is especially helpful for beginners who may be unfamiliar with the mechanics of the game.
The guideline trainer can also be adjusted to different difficulty levels, allowing players to gradually increase the complexity of their shots as they become more skilled. This means that players can continue to use the guideline trainer even as they improve their skills, helping them to continue to refine their technique and improve their accuracy.
One of the major hurdles we faced initially was establishing and maintaining electrical connection between electronic components like sensors and arduino board. This was largely solved by stabilising the components and tying them down against rigid supports.
We also faced several challenges early on with glitches due to faulty physics and logical errors. This was solved by debugging and verifying at each step.
