The problem AI x SUI solves
Blockchain is still too complicated for everyday users. Simple actions like sending tokens require users to understand wallet addresses, transaction details, gas fees, networks, and other technical concepts. This creates friction and makes Web3 intimidating for people who are not familiar with blockchain.
At the same time, AI can understand what users mean in natural language, but simply understanding a request is not enough — there needs to be a trusted way to turn that intent into an actual on-chain action.
Our project solves this by allowing users to interact with Sui through natural language. Instead of manually navigating complicated blockchain interfaces, users can simply describe what they want to do. The AI interprets their intent and prepares the action, while the user reviews and approves it before it is executed on-chain.
In short: we make blockchain interactions simpler and more accessible without taking control away from the user.
Challenges we ran into
1)Incorrect SUI Amount Display
During development, we encountered an issue where the application consistently displayed 0.02 SUI regardless of the user's actual balance or transaction amount. This was caused by an issue in how the SUI balance and transaction amount were being retrieved and displayed by the frontend.
2)Gas Fee Not Included in Balance Calculation
We initially did not account for the Sui network gas fee when calculating and displaying the available SUI amount. This could result in the interface showing an amount that did not accurately represent the user's spendable balance after transaction fees. We identified this as an important issue because users need to know the actual cost of a transaction before approving it.
3)Difficulty Integrating with an Actual Sui Wallet
Another challenge we encountered was connecting the application to an actual Sui-compatible wallet and using it to execute real on-chain transactions. While the AI transaction flow could be demonstrated successfully, integrating wallet connection, transaction signing, user approval, and actual blockchain execution required additional Sui wallet and transaction integration work.
