One of the biggest challenges we faced was integrating the resume analyzer with the job recommendation system. Initially, parsing the resume, extracting relevant skills, and mapping them to real-time job listings was throwing multiple errors — from file format issues to API failures. We also struggled with inconsistent data formats returned by job APIs like Remotive. To overcome this, we refined our skill extraction using regular expressions and added fallback error handling for unreliable API responses. Breaking down each step, logging outputs, and validating data formats helped us fix bugs one by one. It taught us the importance of modular debugging and graceful error handling in full-stack development.
