AGROR

AGROR is an agriculture based project. It bridges the gap between farmers to folk and the fork.

The problem AGROR solves

We utilize fragmented unused pieces of land and convert it into some productive cultivation. We also provide an E-Commerce base and a platform to sell the crops cultivated by us. We have a client who wants to list his/her land up for cultivation. He uses our web-app and fills in the information about his land. We send our experienced farmers to check the feasibility of the land and whether it is favourable to cultivate. The farmer will check the Soil Moisture, pH value and NPK(Nitrogen, Phosphorous and Potassium) values. If favourable, our farmers then proceed to cultivate crops suitable to the given land. When it comes to the selected crops, the criteria for cultivation would be the time of harvesting. For example, a tomato takes about 40-50 days to yield some produce while a lemon plant would take 3 years to provide us with some proper produce. As a start-up, this would question our SUSTAINABILITY factor whether we can make profit on a long-term scale.
We have this system of creating a decentralized network of storage facilities for our produce.
Organising a Disorganised Sector is the hardest way and easiest idea to create an impactful startup.
Now, what does the user get to list his land? A bi-annual membership to the AGROR community which can be renewed on a bi-annual basis if the client chooses to list his land once again. The perks of this membership would be offers and reduced prices for the member. This would there-on, create a customer-company rapport. This exclusive membership can also be bought separately if the client is unable to list a land.
In the whole, we provide fresh produce, help employ farmers and laymen, help maximise use of unused fragmented distributed land.

Challenges we ran into

Challenges we ran into when building this project were mainly business plan related. Calculating the revenue system, cross-checking and finding solutions to the loopholes and making this system foolproof took up majority of the time.
