The problem AgroGuard solves
AgroGuard effectively addresses the critical issue of plant disease detection in agriculture. By utilizing advanced machine learning models and image analysis, it offers a swift and accurate solution to identify diseases in crops. This technology aids farmers in early detection, allowing for timely intervention and the implementation of appropriate remedies. AgroGuard empowers farmers to protect their crops, enhance agricultural productivity, and reduce the risk of significant yield loss due to untreated diseases. Challenges we ran into
During the project development, we encountered a notable challenge related to deployment. Initially, we faced difficulties in deploying both the frontend and backend components together. To overcome this issue, we decided to deploy them separately, which streamlined the process and improved overall system performance.
Additionally, we encountered a hurdle due to the unavailability of hardware sensors for data collection. However, we successfully addressed this obstacle by creating software simulations that mimicked the behavior of physical sensors. These simulations provided the necessary data input for our machine learning models, ensuring the continued accuracy and functionality of the system.
