We are participating to showcase the rich cultural heritage of the Yoruba people and how it can be leveraged to promote Base. It’s a way to merge tradition with technology, highlighting the global relevance of African culture in modern innovation.
We are focusing on the challenge of increasing local adoption and awareness of Base by connecting it to familiar and respected cultural elements, making it relatable and appealing to a broader audience.
We used traditional Yoruba dance and cultural symbols in our video to make Base, easier for the local audience to understand and relate to. This way, we connect modern technology with familiar cultural elements, helping people see how blockchain can fit into their daily lives.
We faced challenges in crafting and coming up with contents related to Base, getting the dance steps, with the costumes and standard camera and tools for shooting, gettting a suitable location, funny enough it was raining the day we decided to shoot. Additionally, coordinating the team and ensuring smooth production during the shoot required much effort.
If our project was built before the buildathon we will add Interactive elements in the video that encourage viewers to engage with Base-related activities.
Cheering for a project means supporting a project you like with as little as 0.0025 ETH. Right now, you can Cheer using ETH on Arbitrum, Optimism and Base.
