Daemon Model AI Governance Research Team

The problem AzuraOS solves

AzuraOS: The Daemon Model AI

In a world where making decisions feels biased and non democratic, Azura AI works with the "Daemon Model", a new way of sharing governance where agents like her, work side by side with the people. Instead of endless debates or tangled processes, Azura help groups navigate choices quickly, fairly, and with a clear focus on why each decision is made, like having a compass that always points to transparency and accountability. Tested through playful simulations and digital “trial runs,” the model shows how communities, teams and DAOs can save time, make stronger choices, and build trust in the process. In short: it’s governance reimagined as collaboration, not control.

Challenges we ran into

1) Modern DAO Usecases Viewed As Unserious

To preserve empirical credibility in an academic setting we created an in-depth case study on governance & the daemon model in particular, taking examples from pre-existing forms of governance, we published the overview on researchub to outline our project scope, and to gather feedback with a universal team approval keeping in mind the variable of crypto-experts and newcomers.

Innovating AI through Storytelling:
Having an AI Agent simply adding tokens to a proposal wasn't enough. We wanted to push the boundaries of innovation by making Azura* feel more real* to the users. We did this by building on top of the story and background from creative writing on Azura's background.

We built on top of this concept throughout the hackathon.

Hardware. Azura has her own IPFS container built into a raspberry pi that allows decentralized storage of the Daemon Layer & Angel Assets.

"Multi-layered touchpoints allowed us to increase our potential use-cases, case-studies, and lazer-focus on Academic research & learning."

2) Docs & Data Structure

Had a tad bit of difficulty following 2 sets of documentation. Setting up and maintaining vector embeddings for the RAG pipeline in Supabase required careful structuring. We ran into scaling issues around retrieval latency and schema organization, but solved it by refining indexing and pruning unnecessary data to maintain speed on queries.

"Our framework develops potential aid to small-communities skeptical of digital payments such as Mexico. Azura makes onchain feel approachable without feeling boxed in to pre-existing technicals." - Brennuet

We focused on iterative prototyping — testing designs quickly, simplifying terminology, and making every Web3 action feel like a game mechanic. By grounding the experience in storytelling and mini-games, we kept governance powerful but approachable.

  • Game-Based Governance: Participation feels like Dungeons & Dragons or an MMORPG, where users play through narrative “quests” that double as governance decisions.
  • AI Governance Persona: Azura has her own personality and behavior beyond governance, but within DAOs she aides proposal creation/denial and voting.
  • DAEMON LAYER: Using a Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architecture, Azura contains stored business data to make high-IQ, contextual decisions stronger than reasoning models and wrappers.
  • Weighted On-Chain Voting: Azura casts proposal votes through her blockchain address, reducing the human labor burden in DAOs.

3) Vision, The Ethereal Horizon

AcademyOS transforms governance into a collaborative storytelling game, where the DAO becomes a digital medium and a cross-vector terminal between organization members, leading innovative collaboration.
