“Let us handle result management so you can focus on learning.”

The problem Academio solves

Exam results can be a stressful feat for both students & teachers, especially when ascribing and managing them is a tiresome task requiring utmost precision and efficiency .
To solve this problem, we have come up with a unified result management repository for the exam result management of IGDTUW.
Our project majorly offers functionalities to students of different branches and batches to access their course-wise and allover marks for a particular semester, and for administration and faculty to read, update, and input records of students.
Through this project, we aim to create a seamless experience for students to know about exam details and all exam results in one place, without having to look for documents and date-sheets anywhere else.
As for the faculty, we wish to offer maximum functionality to store , access and update student exam details in a clear and structured manner.
Furthermore, the project features comprehensive graphical analytics that provide both students and teachers with complete and comparative insights into exam results.

Challenges we ran into

Over the course of this project, we got to learn a lot about development and designing graphics.
We had to constantly debug and optimize our code in order to keep the project consistent , clean and modular while also ensuring the smooth running of each and every test case.
We had to deeply learn about creating and maintaining databases using SQL and interfacing it with python. We also learned about external python libraries such as tkinter and matplotlib to incorporate graphical analytics into our model.
In addition , we faced the challenge of appending many complex ideas in brevity within a tight timeframe. During the brainstorming process, we also had to accommodate conflicts in the team and had to find a way to collaborate ideas coherently.
Thus ,we used many technologies for the very first time and this helped us gain hands-on experience in development and a basic idea of the backend.
All the challenges we faced helped us think more critically to come up with innovative and effective solutions, and it was a fruitful learning experience.
