Effortlessly bridging the gap between surplus food from family functions and local communities in need, our innovative project aims to combat food waste while fostering a sense of unity and support within our neighborhoods. By seamlessly connecting excess food resources from events like weddings, parties, and gatherings with those who can benefit from them most, we not only reduce waste but also empower communities, ensuring that no meal goes to waste and no one goes hungry. Together, we're transforming surplus into sustenance, one plate at a time.
Responsiveness: Ensuring that our project was responsive across various devices and screen sizes was a significant challenge. We tackled this obstacle by employing responsive design principles and testing our application extensively on different devices and browsers. Through iterative adjustments to our CSS and HTML, we achieved a responsive layout that provided a seamless user experience.
Integration of Maps View: Initially, integrating maps view into our project posed a challenge due to limited knowledge of map APIs and their implementation. To overcome this hurdle, we explored and utilized free APIs available for mapping services. By studying documentation and experimenting with different APIs, we successfully integrated map functionality into our project, enhancing its usability and functionality.
Folder Hierarchy Management: Managing the folder hierarchy for running the project efficiently was another challenge we encountered. Incorrect file paths and organization led to errors and hindered the smooth execution of the project. To address this issue, we meticulously reviewed and corrected the file paths, ensuring that all dependencies were properly linked and structured. This meticulous approach streamlined our project's setup and improved its overall organization.
