"I'm Zinal Raval , and currently I’m perusing my BTech in Artificial Intelligence from AD Patel Institute of Technology. My skills include WebDevelopment,matlab,Python and Arduino, which I've developed through my education. I'm passionate about finding new problems and solving those problems for real world.
In terms of interesting projects, we've built, one that stands out is Mastex (Mastitis Detection). The motive behind this project was as India is the largest milk producing (210 Million metric ton/Year) country of the world. Yet the export share is only 18%, per cow milk yield is less and even then per capita requirement of 427g/ day is not met in several states of India. Moreover, 3% milk is wasted due to udder infection in cows known as Mastitis. Cow morbidity increases, milk yield decreases and milk is rendered unfit for human consumption. this disease is often missed or detected at very late stage using conventional method. Thereby, farmer's expenditure on animal veterinarian and medicines to manage the disease increases alongwith probability of udder failure and inevitable culling. For this we build a solution which will give the Mastitis Test rapidly and more accurately, it will give you results at early stages and prevents cow’s death. We used Arduino and programmed the Arduino keeping multiple factors in mind. We are currently at Testing Stage we have tested over 750-1000 cows till date in association with Amul and NDDB. The key outcomes are that it prevents the wastage of milk, it is more economical & easier to use for farmers, more accurate and fast processing. The farmer would be able to test mastitis himself, detect the disease at early stage, save money and maintain quality and quantity of milk yield.
