Hi, I'm Zahida, a passionate full-stack developer from Mangalore, Karnataka, India. I'm currently pursuing my engineering degree, and my journey into tech began with a simple curiosity about how websites and applications function behind the scenes. That curiosity soon turned into a deep interest in web development, and ever since, I've been building, experimenting, and learning every day.
I specialize in the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React, Node.js), which allows me to build full-fledged web applications — handling everything from frontend interfaces to backend logic and databases. My journey has been hands-on: I’ve built clones of platforms like Amazon, Netflix, and Twitter (X) to sharpen my understanding of real-world UI structures and performance.
Some of the major projects I’ve worked on include:
WanderNest: A full-stack travel guide platform where users can explore destinations, add reviews, and manage listings.
NextGen Hire: A recruitment platform designed to streamline the hiring process for both employers and candidates.
Tools like weather widgets, task managers, and password managers built using JavaScript and React.
An AI clone and chatbot-style interfaces exploring conversational UIs and API integration.
Through these projects, I’ve gained hands-on experience in API integration, RESTful routing, authentication, database handling, and responsive development.
In addition to building, I actively participate in hackathons — working under pressure to create functional prototypes, solve real problems, and collaborate with other developers. These experiences have taught me how to think fast, write clean code, and optimize for user needs.
As I continue to grow, I’m focused on:
Deepening my development skills and exploring new opportunities in tech
Learning more about performance optimization and deployment workflows
Collaborating on impactful, real-world projects
Staying updated with the ever-evolving tech ecosystem
For me, development is not just about code — it’s about solving problems and building things that matter.
