I am a Python developer who enjoys exploring new challenges. The urgent desire to get my code up and running, with optimizations and clever hacks drives me. I get intrigued by new technologies and try to integrate them into projects of my own. I make sure that the knowledge I receive, I try to pass it on to a global audience, which is why I occasionally write technical blogs.
Every project brings its own set of complications and blockers, finding a solution is what brings the element of excitement. Last year I participated in an international hackathon 'Anita's Moonshot Codeathon' where the submission had to produce a creative solution to a socio-economic problem. The submission had to be a complete analysis of the problem and with the technological solution to support the argument. I addressed the problem of traffic in India and picked statistics from major cities. I then implemented a Computer Vision solution to help drivers minimise lane changes while optimizing the route taken. The project was widely appreciated by the judges and members of the Systers community and I was awarded the 'Inspiring Innovator Award'. I also represented the algorithm in an IEEE conference, where the paper was selected to be published in IEEE. What I learned from this amazing experience was that dedicated attention to detail lets one accomplish great achievements that they didn't even expect from themselves. Also, understanding the reason to develop a project could prove to be a great motivator to take the project to completion.
Ever since this experience, I have loved the idea of hackthons and tried to be a part whenever I can. I enjoy the adrenalin rush and thrive to complete a solution.
