I’m Vianey Álvarez, a builder and community leader passionate about making Web3 accessible for everyone. My academic background is in Strategy and Business Transformation, and professionally I work in cybersecurity consulting, designing governance models and risk frameworks aligned with ISO 27001 and NIST. This has given me the tools to think critically about security, compliance, and the safe adoption of emerging technologies.

I founded Opportuni, a community of over 5,000 young people in Mexico and 1000 in Colombia that connects students with scholarships, hackathons, and jobs. Through Opportuni, we have also partnered with local government in my hometown a Pueblo Mágico in Morelos to run educational workshops so people can learn about blockchain and even start receiving payments in crypto. For me, blockchain is not just about innovation, but about creating tangible inclusion in communities that are often left out of the digital revolution.

As a builder, I’ve worked on projects like Accesly, a Stellar SDK for account abstraction, social logins, and gasless transactions; LumID, a self-sovereign identity solution for financial inclusion; and GOYO, an AI-powered chatbot that enables transfers through voice commands on Ethereum using Monad. I’ve also participated in and won tracks at hackathons with Stellar, Ethereum, and Scroll.

What drives me is breaking down barriers. I want blockchain to feel simple, safe, and human-centered where people from rural towns to global cities can connect, create, and thrive.
