Utkarsh Srivastava

I am an enthusiatic coder currently working at Google. I have deep interests in ML, AI and Algorithms. During my college, I have worked on some interesting projects like Image Captioning which involved constructing an end-to-end model of CNN(for feature vector generation) and LSTM as RNN(for caption generation), Video tagging based on affection content, which involved image processing for feature extraction and classification, and determining Gender Dimorphism in Resting State Brain Networks, using concepts of Graph Theory. Beside academic projects, I have some side projects which includes a personal chrome extension encrypted password manager and a Sudoku Solver which takes an image as input, reads the puzzle using OCR, and solves it using concepts of AI(Minimum Remaining Value and Degree Heuristics). I have previously participated in Hack in the North(HINT), one of the largest student orgainzed Hackathons in India, where I finished among the top 5 teams. One of my main motives of participating in a hackathon is trying to explore a new language, framework or hack to build robust things fast, and learn from interesting people who come there and build cool stuffs.
