Srishti Singh

I am a second year undergraduate in Computer Science and Engineering at PDPM IIITDM Jabalpur. I love to explore new things in the field of computer science, aims to contribute in open source productively and is passionate about competitive programming.

I am highly interested in Python Programming Language. It’s wide and useful application excites me to dive deeper into it. I have applied Python in Data Science for the analysis of data. I made a Desktop Application for Steel Management for Osdag FOSSEE. It uses Python, PyQt and Sqlite to display, search and append data in the Steel Database with user friendly GUI.
I also have good knowledge of OpenCV in Python and I am currently working on Optical Character Recognition System.

I am not limited to a certain set of skills and is open to learn and adapt new things. I have worked on a Music site in second year that allows you to play your favorite song, search for artists and create your own playlist. It includes MySQL and web development techniques.
I can also work with Arduino effectively and had made a LPG cylinder gas level monitoring and automatic booking with leakage and fire detecting alarm system in my first year.

My team was selected for the Internal** Smart India Hackathon 2020** for the project- Depression Detecting Chat Bot in our first year itself.
Currently, I am working as an open source contributor(Participant) in** GirlScript Summer of Code 2021.**

I am good at Competitive Programming in languages C, C++and Python. It forms the foundation of my interest in coding and converting it into real world applications that affect people’s lives productively is what I enjoy the most.
