I’m Soham Gupta, a pre-final year student in Information Science and Engineering, passionate about leveraging technology to create meaningful impact. I have a strong foundation in software development and open-source contributions, and I’m currently focusing on the exciting realms of blockchain technology, particularly Ethereum (ETH) and Solana (SOL).

• Project: Enhanced Chromecast support for VLC media player
• Impact: Improved performance and accessibility for over 2 billion users.

• Third Place: Developed a malware detector using the Volatility framework v3.0 in my first hackathon.

Current Focus

I’m currently exploring cloud computing, web3 technologies, and deployment strategies, with a keen interest in smart contract development and decentralized applications (dApps) on both Ethereum and Solana.

Future Goals

My long-term aspiration is to work in Software Development, DevOps or as a Developer Advocate, where I can bridge the gap between complex technologies and the developer community. I’m always eager to learn, contribute and grow as a developer in the ever-evolving landscape of web3.
