What am I good at?

  • Java Programming Language, it is one of the programming languages that I frequently use for user interface design. I use tools like NetBeans and IntelliJ Windows and Scene Builder.
  • C and C++ programming language which I use to solve programming problems.
  • JavaScript and React, these are the language I am learning to create a new product for a college project.
    What drives me?
  • I love designing software and user interfaces for them. Everyone goes on about how programming the logical part of the software is sexy but I say they have never tried their hands on designing. The feeling when you have agreed upon all the buttons and text boxes you will use and your design comes to life with the perfect color combination. Poetic

What’s the most complex project I have worked on?

  • Bank Management System: This was coursework for Software Engineering Project, 3rd Semester. We as a group developed a banking system with carried out the basic banking operation using Java.
  • Khoji- It’s a project that is under development as of this moment. It is going to be a mobile application in which will provide its users to search professionals to carry out basic domestic home operations like fixing pipes, fixing lights and help professionals find jobs.
    What did I learn?
  • Banking Software provided me the most exposure to the world of software building. It’s first taught the importance of working in the group, which meant the learning of version controls tools like GitHub for code management. I learned about my passion for designing the look and feel of a product through this project.
  • Khoji, which we developed for an Entrepreneurship Program taught us the importance of being able to present your product to the world. Yeah, development and design are cool but making people from different field understand why they need to be searching for plumbers on their phone with an application rather than calling like 15 people to get the number for a plumber is the real struggle.
So, yeah we learned that development was not just about you understanding your product but it was about making people aware of your product.
  • Not just project but actually Software Engineering, the studies I am pursuing has introduced me to various aspects like Data Analysis, Algorithm Design, and UML
Diagram design which has equal importance to being able to write codes.

Why do we want to be invited to the Hackathon?
Our main objective to be at the Hackathon is to learn more about the development. We have more times than often developed when we are required to as a part of a project. We do learn a lot while we develop a project but still we haven’t really built something without the added the value of very little deadline and the greed of good grades.
Also, the fact that we have some good ideas that we can develop but aren’t developing because of lack of motivation to build it and we aren’t learning about technology in the right way to develop them. So, we hope that at Hackathon, we can learn more about the technology we need to develop our ideas and fills us with the desire to develop and showcase our ideas.
