Hi! I’m Sadikshya Ghimire, a Data Science student at Sunway College with a passion for leveraging artificial intelligence and data-driven solutions to improve healthcare systems and promote ethical technology adoption. Currently, I’m working as an AI Engineering Intern at SunyaEk Computing, where I contribute to real-world healthcare IT projects that focus on electronic health record (EHR) systems like OpenMRS and Bahmni EMR. My work includes setting up Bahmni on Docker, extracting and visualizing clinical data from PostgreSQL databases such as OpenELIS (clinlims), and building real-time dashboards using Metabase. I'm particularly interested in applying AI to public health, with ongoing projects in disease prediction and antenatal/postnatal care analysis. My technical toolbox includes Python, R, SQL, Docker, Tableau, Seaborn, and Matplotlib, and I’ve applied these tools across a range of projects such as sentiment analysis on human texts, obesity data analysis, E-commerce sales EDA, and the development of a hospital management system. I’ve also built a portfolio website using React to showcase my work. Outside of technical work, I serve as the President of the Sunway Student Representative Council (SSRC) and have taken on leadership roles such as Speaker Coordinator for PIE & AI: Kathmandu and Secretary-elect at Rotaract Club of Budhanilkantha, where I promote tech education and student leadership. I’m deeply committed to the idea of tech for social good and am continuously learning about topics like API development with Postman, ethical AI, and cloud deployment.
