I'm Prithu Banik, a passionate Computer Science Engineering student specializing in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning at Presidency University in Bangalore. Beyond my academic pursuits, I thrive on engaging in a multitude of extracurricular activities that fuel my enthusiasm for technology and innovation.
My journey into the world of AI and ML has been a remarkable one. I've had the privilege of competing in prestigious hackathons and coding competitions, both online and offline, where I've consistently demonstrated my prowess in AI and ML. Notably, I was among the top 8 finalists in the ISARC International Hackathon at IIT Madras, competing against some of the brightest minds from across the globe. Additionally, I secured the third position in the Vision and AI theme at an event held at IIT Madras Research Park, competing against participants from renowned institutions.
My commitment to fostering innovation and providing a platform for talent has led me to organize and coordinate various events and competitions. I was an integral part of the organizing team for the International Rover Challenge held at my college, an event that showcased cutting-edge technology. Currently, I hold the esteemed position of Head Coordinator for Tech Challenge at our university, where we conduct workshops and competitions to empower students with technical skills.
I move forward because of my unrelenting love for AI and its revolutionary possibilities. I have a strong belief that artificial intelligence will positively revolutionize our planet. At the moment, I'm honored to be working at Presidency University as a Junior Research Fellow (JRF), where I'm actively advancing the field of artificial intelligence through research and invention. Currently, I have one research publication in a Q2 journal.
Along with my successes, I'm proud to have placed second in the Smart India Hackathon Internal and won top honors at hackathons held at NMIT. These encounters have broadened my understanding and improved my ability to solve problems.
Presently, I am focusing my efforts on organizing an inter-college hackathon where I hope to bring creative minds together to address real-world problems with AI solutions.
I move forward because of my unrelenting love for AI and its revolutionary possibilities. I have a strong belief that artificial intelligence will positively revolutionize our planet. At the moment, I am genuinely excited about the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the AI community and society at large.
