People often ask me one question - "Why did you chose B.Sc. and not Engineering if you had to get into Data Science ?" My Answer : Data Science is a combination of several factors including statistics and programming. A engineering student knows how to code but barely has statistics knowledge and likewise a B.Sc. Statistics student has statistics knowledge but barely knows coding. Both of them have to take out time to learn the alternative thing so why not to choose something which you enjoy studying ?? At the end what matters is our knowledge so just keep learning and improving yourself !!
