Hello! My self, Pearl Kotak, currently pursuing bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from K. J. Somaiya College of Engineering. My interest towards programming began to develop in high school where I learned the basics of Visual Basic and HTML. Soon after, I joined KJSCE, and a broader and clear concept of programming came to picture. I actively participated in College competitive programming on various platforms which helped me to develop logics for problem statements. I also tried problem solving in coding platforms for discrete and interesting problem statements.
To start with my real phase of programming, I assisted as a summer intern at KJSCE for a month. There I took up a post of an android app developer specially working on the client side. During this tenure, I experienced a lot of things both technical and social. During this internship, I got autodidactic towards being a developer. I have also assisted at Playerzpot Media Privated Limited as a NodeJS Developer. There, I imbibed the skill of modelling different operations in backend by working in the Express framework of NodeJS. This gave me a wonderful experience of working in a purely professional environment where a lot of projects go hand in hand. Apart from these internships, the foremost place where I get to learn about more new technologies and various brainstorming ideas are Hackathons. My main motive to participate in hackathons is my interest in coding and come up with efficient and out of the box ideas. Along with these internships, I have audited in various courses of Python for Data Science, Basics of Machine Learning from my college and now I am currently learning AngularJS. I have implemented some projects like Blood Connect in Java and currently I am working on making a website that would help women to get aware of their rights, share inspiring stories and thereby participating in various campaigns.
Apart from technical interests, I have interests in writing as well. I usually write Hindi poems. Recently one of my poems was published in the yearly magazine of my college – Kshitij. With the above all, I tutor Maths 1 to 11th and 12th students at Gurukul classes.
I am looking forward for your positive response and If given a chance, would grab every opportunity and through better ideas thereby having an altogether new experience.
