Oscar is a serial founder, independent builder, and accidental digital nomad. A nature-curious risk-taker and creative innovator, his fascination with technology began in 2010 after discovering Bitcoin in a group chat in chess.com.
Operating without a co-founder or institutional backing since 2008, Oscar has built a diverse background spanning fintech product development, real estate, private equity consulting, AI agent deployment, and ecosystem growth worldwide. He entered the blockchain space in February 2014 by founding Bancambios.com—one of the earliest recorded proposals to rebuild banking infrastructure on a public blockchain, predating the RWA and DeFi categories by years. Over the past decade, he has maintained an active presence in the global hackathon circuit and advised developers across the Near, Solana, and Celo ecosystems.
Today, Oscar operates through Halving Labs, an agentic venture studio. His current portfolio of active ventures includes Digipaga, Swipepad, Digimercados, Regeneliza, Logichedge, BitMiura, Zknomads, and the original Bancambios. He also leads community initiatives like Buidlers Club and BTC Hackathon.
