I currently work as sr. software architect building solutions to solve healthcare data interoperability challenges for Philips and its customers enabling them to build products & solutions harnessing the data unlocked from silos.
I have a healthcare IT career of 15 years working on building various healthcare IT products for global markets.
During the first half of my career, I worked with Healthcare startups catering to US markets. I started my healthcare career as professional services engineer for PACS & RIS. I implemented, customized and developed solutions for various Radiology & cardiology imaging usecases. Later I went to work for a startup where I developed a DICOM study migration software to migrate studies to and from various imaging applications. Thereafter I designed & developed a cloud based realtime data integration platform connecting multiple healthcare applications across geographical boundaries.
In the second half of my Healthcare IT career I have been working with Healthcare multinationals namely GE Healthcare & Philips. At GE healthcare I led EMR interoperability team which was responsible for API transformation of the platform. Implemented FHIR for EMR, built third party app store for the platform. As part of interoperability CoE, I enabled multiple product teams to implemement IHE profiles for workflows.
At Philips as Senior architect for interoperability, I am working with enterprise customers helping them solve strategic & last mile data interoperability challenges to enable them unlock the potential of data within their control and also meet regulatory requirements.
In my volunteer capacity I leverage my expertise to help implementers building digital healthcare solutions for India by providing them insights into the domain, making them aware and educating them on latest standards, tools and best practices. Intent is to help Indian healthcare ecosysem leapfrog using the learnings from across the globe their applicability in Indian context based. I lead HL7 India's technical committee which is focussed on promoting the use of HL7 standards like FHIR and localizing them for Indian contexts.I am also a key contributor to Himss India Interoperability committee.
