Kaushikh Balachandar

I am Kaushikh Balachandar, a 21-year-old student currently pursuing my education at Loyola ICAM College of Engineering and Technology. With a passion for technology and creativity, I’m a programmer, web developer, 3D artist, and burgeoning cybersecurity enthusiast.

In January 2022, I had the honor of receiving the People's Choice Award at INBCB Innovation Award 2022 “SEEDBRAINS” for my application AutLife designed to support children with autism. This achievement also led to a fully funded incubation in Bangalore, organized by India Netherlands Business Circle (INBCB) and Cambridge institute of Technology, Bangalore. Since then, I've immersed myself in various hackathons, leaving my mark in fields ranging from Virtual Reality/Augmented Reality (VR/AR) to Internet of Things (IoT) and software development.

In January 2024 I clinched the first prize in the Cyberthon 2024, hosted by SRM Ramapuram. My winning entry showcased innovative code obfuscation techniques using LLM & AI.

In March 2024 I participated in the Cyber Hackathon 3.0 event, jointly organized by the Greater Chennai Police and Alibi Technologies(India's first exclusive cyber forensic private laboratory accredited by NABL). Following my standout performance, I was offered an internship at Alibi Technologies where I get to learn the realms of cyber security through real life scenarios.

I also got the opportunity to participate in a Capture the Flag Cybersecurity competition organized by Edith Cowan University Australia in collaboration with PALS IITM. Out of 120 teams in the preliminaries, we secured the 5th position, and in the finals, out of 40 teams, we proudly secured the 10th position.

In June 2024,The project I've been working on, Luffy Protocol, won the Best Video Demo award and a $2000 cash prize at Chainlink's Block Magic Web3 Hackathon. Luffy Protocol is a first of its kind decentralized sports gaming platform built with the aim of being completely transparent while preserving user privacy, two aspects that are lacking and exploited by the current platforms in this domain.

In my free time I do freelancing as a Web dev and 3D Product Video producer. My other hobbies include reading books and watching & making movies, mainly in the field of cinematography, VFX, sound design and music composition. Last year I got the opportunity to work on 2 short films as a Sound Engineer and Music director and on one short film as a cinematographer.
