Jude Hunja

I’m a passionate software developer and community builder with a strong foundation in Python, Flask, Django, and AI-driven applications. I love using technology to solve real-world problems and create meaningful impact, while also helping others grow through learning and collaboration. I also like mentoring peers and contributing to community initiatives.

Some of the projects I’ve built include EpiSim Africa, an agent-based disease modeling platform that uses TensorFlowJS to simulate and predict the spread of diseases across African regions. I also developed ShopVista, a full-stack e-commerce web app built with Flask and MySQL featuring user authentication, product management, and checkout functionality. During a hackathon, I created AfyaApp, which uses Africa’s Talking SMS API to send health alerts based on geographic data. Alongside these, I’ve built EcoLinda, a sustainability-focused web project that seeks to reduce land degradation.

Beyond development, I’m an active volunteer with AWS User Group Pwani and GDG on Campus JKUAT, where I help others explore cloud and AI technologies.
