I'm a Computer Systems Engineer, but, at this moment, the most important thing about me is that I left my previous job to fully dedicate myself to exploring blockchain technologies, particularly zero-knowledge proofs (ZK). Yes, I’m currently unemployed, and just dedicated to deeply understand the Ethereum blockchain, as of now I’m learning solidity.
I’ve been part of the Honduran Ethereum community for many years, I’ve contributed on web3 frontend bootcamps as speaker, and I’ve being a student on solidity or ZK bootcamps. The experience learning and teaching has been very good but what is the point of learning something if we can’t apply what we learned.
My biggest concern in Honduras, and Central America more broadly, is the lack of real-world blockchain solutions. My main motivation is to gain a deep understanding of blockchain technologies in order to transform real-world problems into blockchain-based solutions. With the knowledge I acquire, I also want to teach others, since there are currently very few blockchain developers in Honduras.
From January 2019 to June 2021, I contributed as a full stack developer to Affogato (https://affogato.co), a Web3 project aimed to give more transparency and trust to the coffee value chain. I think is one the few web3 real-world projects in Honduras. I was also a Front end developer at Cryptex Finance (https://cryptex.finance) the last four years.
