Project: Autonomous Drone Navigation System (ISRO )
In this project, we built a drone system to detect and avoid obstacles like rocks, trees, humans, and building boundaries in disaster zones.

My Role: I handled the YOLOv8-based object detection and OpenCV image processing part. I trained a custom YOLOv8 model on relevant datasets and integrated it with ROS2 for real-time detection. I also used OpenCV for yellow boundary detection using color filtering and segmentation.

The detections were used by the drone for autonomous navigation in Gazebo simulations, helping it make real-time decisions and avoid obstacles. This made the system more intelligent and suitable for search-and-rescue operations.
I am always eager to explore new technologies, collaborate with like-minded individuals, and take on challenging projects in hackathons!
