Deepak Basavaraju

I’m Deepak, a CS graduate from IITD and an MBA graduate from IIMC specializing in Finance & Strategy. I’ve founded 2 startups in the FinTech & EdTech space, but haven't scaled them due to multiple reasons. Previously, I worked at BYJU'S heading strategy and making all key decisions for a $50M business on Amazon for Osmo (acquired by BYJU'S). I worked closely with the core International expansion team of BYJU'S. Post that, I shifted myself to work closely in the CEO's office looking at various acquisitions too. Prior to that, I’ve 2 years of Software development experience with RIVIGO.
I’ve always been associated with startups my entire career. And, currently I’m building my long term career in the Web3 space only, as a VC. I've joined Mapleblock Capital, a $400mn Web3 focused fund and have invested in 150+ Web3 startups.
I love coding, I've been doing it since my undergrad. I also run a algo trading firm on the side as well. See ya at the hackathon!
