Brien Austin

Hey, I’m Brien — a software engineer who enjoys building products from idea to production.

I mainly work with TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node.js, NestJS, PostgreSQL, and AWS. I’m particularly interested in backend engineering, scalable systems, and understanding what actually happens behind the APIs and abstractions we use every day.

I enjoy taking messy real-world problems, breaking them down, and turning them into simple, reliable software. Currently, I’m focused on becoming a stronger backend and systems engineer while sharpening my Data Structures and Algorithms skills.

Outside of work, I’m constantly experimenting with product ideas and building things just because I’m curious about how they work.
