Abhinav Mahajan

Hey, I'm Abhinav.

I'm a Software Engineer at Barclays, working across backend systems, distributed systems, and AI/agent infrastructure. My day to day involves Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and Kubernetes, and I've picked up range from earlier roles working with Go, React, Python, AWS, and Docker.

Alongside my full time role, I contribute to open source projects in the LLM and agent tooling space. I care about the intersection around: solid backend engineering meeting real, working AI systems, not just prompts wrapped around an API.

I've competed in hackathons at a global level and enjoy building focused, working products under a tight clock. Some of the recognition so far:

I like problems where a system has to hold up under real constraints, whether that's data at scale, distributed coordination, or now, an AI agent that actually needs to complete a transaction and not just describe one. Always looking for the next hard, real problem to build for.
