Yash Manek

Hey there! I'm Yash, a third-year Computer Engineering student at Dwarkadas J. Sanghvi College of Engineering, passionate about backend development, distributed systems, and building scalable applications. From a young age, I was always curious about how technology evolves and how things are built. My father was a coder before transitioning into business, which further sparked my interest in programming.

I love solving real-world problems through technology and creating meaningful applications. My goal is to become a full-stack developer and dive deep into AI, ultimately working as a software engineer, with my dream company being NVIDIA. Beyond coding, I strongly believe in giving back to the community, which is why I serve as the Technical Head at DJS NSS, where I contribute by developing impactful solutions to help people.

I have worked on various complex projects, including the DJS NSS website, for which I developed the entire backend infrastructure for volunteer and event management. I also architected Axon, a distributed task orchestration platform using Node.js, Rust, and Redis, and built a distributed web crawling system on AWS utilizing FastAPI and headless Selenium. My experience includes developing HackOS to automate hackathon management, creating high-performance data preprocessing engines for large-scale corporate datasets, and working as a freelance web developer. Currently, I am also working on MoveFree, an AI-powered wearable navigation assistant, and a research paper on memory-efficient LLM training frameworks.

I thrive in team environments because collaboration introduces me to new perspectives, ideas, and solutions. I enjoy discussing different approaches, refining concepts, and learning from my peers, as it helps me grow as a developer. My technical expertise includes backend technologies like Node.js, Express, FastAPI, and Prisma ORM, along with databases such as MongoDB, MySQL, and Supabase. I have experience with distributed systems and cloud tools like Redis and AWS. While my primary focus is backend development, I have a strong foundation in React.js and am actively mastering TypeScript, Python, and AI applications to expand my skill set.
