The most complex project I have worked on so far is to build a deep Q-Network to play atari games like breakout. I learnt a lot of concepts in reinforcement learning while I was trying to build the deep Q Network. It also introduced me to this whole new field of machine learning which continues to pique my interests.I have also bulit bots to play certain games like reversi. I have also built an autoencoder. Further along I also got into competitive coding and ended up qualifying to the regional round of ICPC at Amritapuri. After working on the deep Q network I realised that reinforcement learning can also be used to solve complex games like starcraft and hence worked to improve the memory management involved in the game. I am also going to use reinforcement learning in other domains like autonomous air vehicles which can take off and land anywhere. I am currently an undergrad in aerospace engineering and the ability to use concepts such as reinforcement learning to build autonomous vehicles such as these is what keeps me going.
I am also good at algorithms and I am a quick learner, always wanting to build out-of-the-box products. This hackathon would surely improve my skills in building products which is want I think will do in my life and hence I would love to be a part of it. Also being a female in an IIT with a skewed gender ratio it would be wonderful to network with other women of similar interests. Hence I would be honoured if I were accepted for the hackathon.
