Soumya Haridas

Myself Soumya Haridas,currently pursuing Computer Engineering
at Fr. C. Rodrigues Institute of Technology, Vashi, Navi Mumbai.

Below mentioned are some of my projects and achievements:

1. Winner of Innov-a-thon : A hackathon conducted by Sutherland Global Services on 9th November, 2019 at Bangalore under the theme of Cloud Computing.
   Developed a multi class classifier for plant diseases in python (Keras, Tensorflow, ScikitLearn) and trained it on Kaggle GPU on Cloud.

2. Mumbai University Minor Research Grant Portal : Developed a need-based project by creating a website for University of Mumbai to revolutionise the process of applying for minor research grants by the university affiliated professionals.
   Handled more than 1500 proposal requests and the total grant amount requested through this portal reached 10 crores

3. Quarterfinalist of Texas Instruments's IICDC, 2018 : Me and my team were the quarterfinalists in this contest for our project titled " The Scouting Pyrocopter: An Automated Fire Extinguishing Drone ". We used TI MCU's including TM4C123GXL as our flight controller.

4. Winner of CSI Summer Project Contest : It was an intra-college project competition in which me and my team secured the first position for our project titled " Farmer Friend " in which we developed multiple binary classifiers for Deep Learning of plant topography and hyper spectral images.

5. Participated in Grand Finale of Smart India Hackathon, 2019 : A national level hackathon organised by MHRD in which me and my team bagged the runner up position for the problem statement " Drone Doctor " by ITC Ltd conducted in Udaipur.
