Yashitha Rao

I'm Yashitha Rao, a second-year Computer Science student at PES University. I've been actively exploring diverse fields, including open source, web development, app development, and AI. My journey has been fueled by hands-on projects, open-source contributions, and certifications that combine creativity with impactful solutions.

During my internship at Ngen Soft Solutions, I developed a therapy session booking website using the MERN stack, where I gained practical experience in full-stack development. I’ve also worked with large language models (LLMs) and computer vision to build a unique project: a food recognition system using computer vision, paired with a chatbot powered by RAG pipelines. The chatbot was designed to provide contextual assistance, showcasing my skills in combining multiple AI domains. Additionally, I’ve contributed to open-source projects with organizations like Julia Language and Aossie.org, where I demonstrated my problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in diverse ecosystems. I’ve also completed certification courses from Meta on web development, enhancing my understanding of modern web technologies.

Currently, I’m working on a personalized itinerary planner for solo female travelers using LangChain, focusing on creating safe and tailored travel experiences.

Outside of coding, I enjoy playing chess, hiking, and teaching. These hobbies help be stay creative, and think strategacilly.
