Hello! My name is Nikhil Sharma, and I’m a Computer Science student and Backend Developer at AeriusLabs, with previous experience as a Software Engineer at Infracloud, Triggermesh, and GreedyGames. Currently, I’m part of a team building a stateless EVM that uses IAVL for state merkelization, ensuring compatibility with IBC, and powered by CometBFT (Cosmos-sdk) at the consensus layer. This project is live on devnet, with a testnet launch coming soon.

I’m highly passionate about Cloud Native technologies and web3. For over a year, I’ve been actively contributing to Cloud Native projects, focusing on Go and contributing to Kubernetes, Minikube, Kubebuilder, Cilium, Kyverno, Openfaas, Triggermesh, and more. My open-source contributions include 101 merged PRs across various Cloud Native projects, which you can find here.

In 2022, I was selected for Google Summer of Code with CNCF, where I developed a Golang Kubebuilder plugin that allows deploying and managing an Operand (image) on a Kubernetes cluster. My work on this project was presented to the community in a demo video. I also worked as an LFX intern with CNCF, contributing to Kyverno, a Kubernetes policy engine, where I added a new cleanup rule.

With a strong background in open-source contributions and a keen interest in web3, I’m excited to keep building and learning in the tech community.
