Makiko Ohashi

Hi! I'm a self-taught developer and a mom of three, passionate about building things that make learning more accessible and engaging.

I started coding to create tools that could help both myself and my children learn more effectively — bridging real-world learning and technology. My background includes working on Shopify and web apps, and I’m currently preparing for DevDegree while continuing my English studies (TOEFL).

I’m especially interested in the intersection of education, user experience, and AI, and how technology can adapt to each learner’s pace — especially for kids who benefit from personalized explanations and repetition until true understanding clicks.

Hack This Fall is an exciting chance for me to push an idea from scratch into a working prototype, connect with other makers, and grow as both a developer and a creator.
