I’m inquisitive by nature. I try to think logically most of the times. I really love computers and love to code in Python. Besides Python, I also code in C++ and C. I like Mathematics. Love of Computers and Mathematics led me to path of Machine Learning and I really enjoy solving complex problems using ML and DL techniques. I have also worked on Open Data Science tools like Pandas, Numpy, Matplotlib, OpenCV, Scikit-Learn etc. and know a great deal about them. I’m also Core-Organizer of PyData Delhi(4500+ members) which shows my leadership, team player and managerial qualities. I good at communicating my thoughts and ideas to a group of people and lead them to success.
I constantly search for a problem around me to solve which would help the people and everyone around me & also leave the world in a better state than I found it in. The adrenaline rush drives me to work relentlessly through sleepless nights for hours on end. And I love every moment I spend on solving the problem. I always try to channelise my energy and put efforts in the direction of positive outcome or solution of the problem. The superpower to code and able to make a change through it drives me and I always look what good I can do and how I can help everyone around me.
The most complex and strenuous project I’m working on is my ongoing research project at a government lab. We’re supposed to identify, match and classify the bullets that were fired from the same firearm during the crime scene. As every firearm leave its own unique fingerprint on every bullet fired from it these are very small impressions which can only be seen under a microscope. Every part of this project from the dataset to model selection to results is unique and complex and there is very less prior research on this which makes it more difficult and interesting.
I learnt a lot in past few months as I’ve been working in this. I have worked on the complex dataset that I’ve ever seen. I worked on preprocessing the data which includes the use of multiple libraries and functions and a lot of tuning. Now, I know what kind of model to use for what kind of problem. I’ve also learnt how to communicate better with my teammates, lift their spirits from time to time, show them the right path, maintain a healthy environment among team members. I also value everyone’s opinion and let them pour their thoughts and work on them to make it better & implementable.
I think this Hackathon would be a great platform for me to build something that would not only help enhance and showcase my skills but to make a positive and good impact around me. I also hope to learn a lot from my fellow hackers & mentors. ‘Talent wins games, but teamwork and intelligence win championships”.
