I'm currently pursuing a Business Computing and Information Systems (BCIS) degree from Pokhara University (final semester).

I've used the express (node.js) framework for my Minor II project and procedural PHP for my Minor I project. And, thinking about doing my major project in Laravel framework.

Apart from that, I have dabbled with 6 credit worth of Java which included OOP, MVC, AWT, Swing, Servlet and JSP. I took C#.Net as an elective.

I personally am very enthusiastic about web technologies. I want to be able to call myself a full stack developer and what motivates me is the dream to be able to build something that gives the regular users super powers. Like Jimmy Wales did with Wikipedia.

I've worked on various projects on the college, both technical and non-technical. I've interviewed people. I think for me personally, the harder projects were the ones where I had to overcome my inherent introversion.

College projects are mostly group projects, and the most important thing you learn in such projects is how to work on a group. Each member has their relative strengths and weaknesses and as a group leader, you have to work on utilizing each member's strength and overcoming their weakness without losing your cool. As easy as it sounds on paper, it's tough. I won't say I've suddenly become good at managing teams but I can admit I've certainly gotten a little better at it. Also, drastic change doesn't happen in life at once.

I understand there might be limited seats and you have to filter people out. First and foremost, I am truly excited about this project. I love the idea of it. Providing students with an opportunity to learn and build connections. And, I would love to be a part of this experience. And, I would love to commit and contribute to it as much as I can. Even if I'm not selected, I wish you the best of luck with this event and I hope many more like these come to us as an opportunity.
