Debdutta Ghosh

I am a third-year, undergraduate Computer Science student with major ties to Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. My technical experience is a blend of innovative application and comprehensive problem solving that targets complex, real world challenges through established machine learning methodologies and data driven architectures. I currently work on a highly research and application driven project based on the optimization of the Kolkata Ferry Service where I utilize Reinforcement Learning and Graph Neural Networks (GNNs) in relation to vehicular and passenger traffic simulation for optimal scheduling and strategic incorporation of new ferries. I've worked on numerous projects - from EEG seizure detection systems to a comparative study on Large Language Models to assess hallucination prevalence - each applying different skills to complete end goals.

Personality wise, I'm an energetic, curious, and lifelong learner with a "maker" personality. I've engaged in both creation and use of various artifacts in my lifetime, which have taught me the benefits of patience and structured thinking towards debugging models that are anything but linear. I often find myself obsessively passionate about whatever current interests occupy my time; be it delving into a new framework for a project, a language through apps or classes, or within the kitchen. Therefore, while I possess the strengths of an innovative individual working hard towards goals, I also position myself well as a team member who's willing to learn new skills quickly to get the job done.
