Hi, I am Debashree. I have been in the Technology space for about 18 years, working in the Digital Transformation space (Data Analytics and Cloud) for the Enterprises as a Technical Architect and in my last experience, I have been driving high-performing engineering teams at Nike ITC in the Nike Supply Chain space. Currently I am working on a startup idea for an AI-based learning & mentorship platform.
Coming from humble backgrounds, and especially being a woman, I have seen the key difficulties and essentials that worked out for me, to pursue the right channels and then, end up in a good corporate job. This motivates me to work around the cause and bring technology as a solution, to bridge the gap of cyclical poverty and education inequality for today’s youth. The numbers for LFPR and WPR are directly associated to the GDP per capita, for India. Any improvement in the LFPR, will directly impact the GDP. If we can leverage the emerging AI technologies, it can open up a massive opportunity for employability and upskilling of the youth, by providing them a user-first learning system with digital mentorship. The Gig economy is projected to grow till 2030 at a CAGR of 15-17%, and hence, I think this is the right time and right place for India, to relook at the newer possibilities.
