Catherine Kimani

I’m Catherine Wambui Kimani, a Junior Software Engineer who's all about building solutions that make a difference. Honestly, what drives me is Professor Maathai’s idea of being a ‘hummingbird’, I want to use my coding skills to contribute to a greener, more just world, and that’s why I'm here.

​I love taking an idea and building it end-to-end. I can handle a clean, modern interface with React and build the reliable backend engine with Python/Django. I’m a fast learner, and I’m proud that I've used that skill to solve real problems. For example, I built my own AI Email Sorting Application from scratch, integrating the OpenAI API to automatically categorize emails. It proved to me that I can quickly turn innovative ideas into working products.
