In our campus, resource reusability poses a significant challenge, particularly among hostel students. Items such as books, notes, sports equipment, mattresses, and other essentials are frequently underutilized or discarded, contributing to unnecessary waste and environmental impact. Compounding this issue is the absence of a centralized platform that facilitates efficient renting or sharing of these resources within the hostel community. As a result, valuable assets go unused, and individuals struggle to find the items they need, leading to inefficiencies and frustration. Hostel students require a solution that promotes resource sharing, minimizes waste, and provides a convenient way for them to access and rent various items essential for their academic and personal needs.

Travelite is a comprehensive AI-powered platform designed to enhance the travel planning experience through personalization and virtual immersion. Key in-scope features include: An AI virtual tour guide that offers high-quality images, street views, and multilingual audio narration to provide an immersive preview of destinations. A personalized trip planner that allows users to input preferences such as destination, budget, and group size to generate custom travel itineraries. The ability to view and manage previously created trips, providing continuity for users. ML-based trip suggestions that analyze users’ past trips and preferences to recommend up to three personalized future destinations. A chatbot integrated into the platform to provide real-time assistance, ticket bookings, and travel-related queries. A virtual street view, which offers an interactive exploration of locations along with educational audio content. An interactive trip map powered by Leaflet to give users a detailed visual experience of their planned routes. Out of Scope Travelite does not include direct booking services for flights, accommodations, or transport. It also does not manage travel documentation, visa processing, or insurance requirements. While the platform provides recommendations, it does not offer real-time updates on weather, local events, or detailed destination safety information. Additionally, full AR/VR experiences are not currently part of the scope. Future Opportunities Future developments for Travelite include the integration of real-time booking capabilities for flights and accommodations, and the inclusion of local event tracking and personalized recommendations based on real-time data. The platform can be expanded to include full AR/VR immersive experiences for virtual travel.
