HackerHotel,
The Ethereum event market has a couple of issues: large backed conferences outmarket other community/grassroots events with paid endorcements no quality checks no coordination between event goers (lack of a unified social layer) little coordination between event organizers (leading to a worse customer experience by attendees) Scattered and messy resources no bottom-up, community incentivized ecosystem brand building and marketing Right now, it’s hard to get a clear picture of all the Ethereum-aligned events happening around the world, especially smaller, community-led ones. Most people only hear about the major conferences, and the rest fly under the radar. This makes it harder for newcomers, grassroots organizers, and even seasoned community members to connect with each other in meaningful ways. My app is one puzzle piece of a community campaign attempting to address these challenges. The app: serves as a central hub for discovering Ethereum-aligned events, with a strong focus on spotlighting grassroots gatherings and community initiatives in the lead-up to DevConnect Buenos Aires. It lets people create and visualize their own "journeys" to DevConnect based on locations, event types, or themes, and connects events goers with others along the way Is a resource hub for any valuable announcements, updates or opportunities for event goers to be aware of aims to highlight creators from the ecosystem who further help with bottom-up marketing of the ecosystem The current version of the app is aimed at DevConnect with a plan to broaden it out afterwards for 2026, and create it a central hub for the Ethereum event ecosystem as a whole. It's open source with an MIT license. In the future I want to make the underlying logic sufficiently decentralized, simple, and easy to use by any individual or ecosystem to create their own global community initiatives.
