Yu Heng Yap

I'm a dedicated Computer Science student with a strong academic record and a track record of organising successful tech events. While I may not have an extensive background in tech skills, I consider myself a quick and effective learner. When I decide to explore a topic, I excel in grasping it rapidly, comprehensively, and accurately.

Although I haven't pursued many personal projects to date, I tend to be driven by necessity, and one of the most engaging projects I've undertaken was building a robot for the Robocon 2023 competition, where I proudly represented Sunway University. This endeavor involved a wide range of tasks, from CAD design and metal fabrication to circuit construction and programming. The dedication and effort invested in this project ultimately paid off as we secured a remarkable spot in the top 3 during the group stage. This achievement set a new record for our university and added to the sense of pride and accomplishment we felt for our hard work.

Recently, I applied for an internship at CoinGecko, a cryptocurrency company, which sparked my interest in cryptocurrency technology. I am eager to delve deeper into this field, gain more knowledge, and potentially master relevant skills. Participating in this hackathon aligns perfectly with my newfound interest and my desire to expand my expertise in cryptocurrency technology.

Overall, I am enthusiastic about the opportunity to learn and grow in the cryptocurrency domain, and I believe this hackathon will be a valuable step in that direction.
