Varad Joshi

I am Varad Joshi, a driven and passionate computer science engineering student with a focus on data science. Currently pursuing my Bachelor's degree from AP Shah Institute of Technology (University of Mumbai), I am actively expanding my knowledge and skills in various domains of computer science.

With a strong academic background, having secured 93% in HSC and 86% in SSC, I have consistently demonstrated my commitment to learning and excelling in my studies. My practical experience includes an internship as a Backend Intern at Korslet, where I worked with technologies like NodeJS, ExpressJS, Django, MongoDB, and AWS services like EC2, RDS, and DigitalOcean Droplet and Databases.

Beyond academics, I have been an active member of the DevOps Club at APSIT, where I conducted an expert talk and hands-on session on TensorFlow and Keras API basics, building a classification model with 97% accuracy. I have also served as the Social Media head for the Data Science Student Association, APSIT, where I organized various departmental events and activities, managed social media handles, and contributed to ideation and conceptualization.

My project experience includes working as a lead developer on Price Optimization and Recommendation Engine projects, where I collaborated with teams to develop machine learning-based solutions for e-commerce price optimization and user interest-based recommendations. Additionally, I have contributed to the open-source LeafOS project as a maintainer, honing my skills in git, bash scripting, Python scripting, and Makefile.

I have demonstrated leadership skills by organizing events like PC Buildoff as an Event Head for the Exalt Techfest and serving as a Data Analytics and Volunteer for the Hackscript 4.0 hackathon. My skill set encompasses Java, Python, JavaScript, Relational and NoSQL databases, CI/CD, cloud deployment, RESTful APIs, git version control, scripting, Linux fundamentals, Prompt Engineering, GitHub Actions, TensorFlow, and Keras.

Currently, I am actively learning Data Analytics and Visualization, Neural Networks, High-Performance Computing and Parallel Processing using CUDA, Fundamentals of DevOps, Automated API testing using Postman, and Data Warehousing and Mining. With a strong foundation in both theoretical and practical aspects of computer science, I am eager to contribute my skills and passion to challenging projects and continue learning and growing in the field.
