About Me

I am a recent undergraduate from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. I am passionate about innovating, creating and learning something new every day. I am deeply Interested in the domains of Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Web3 and their possible symbiosis..
I would describe myself as a person who is versatile, determined and hardworking. I am an optimistic kid who loves to venture into unknown technical domains in my past time and make the most out of it! :D
My present role is Data Scientist at Anheuser-Busch InBev, an S&P 500 company. I'm presently working to revolutionize the traditional supply channels of the company by incorporating "intelligence" on the e-commerce channels using the power of data and AI :)
With the horizons of Web3 being pushed everyday and me already having a tryst with Web3 (Ethereum India Fellow 2020), I am currently in the process of (yet again?) BUIDLing something interesting, this time combining the power of AI and Web3.

Education and Involvements

I recently graduated with a major from the Department of Metallurgical Engineering and Materials Science and a minor from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering.
Since my freshman year, I have constantly tried to become involved in projects to utilize the technical abilities in me. Being in the Satellite Team, IIT Bombay, I have been actively involved in running simulations for various satellite parameters and writing code for the communication. I've also worked extensively in the field of Machine Learning in various start-ups and MNC's like Tvarit, Anheuser Busch InBev etc..
I am adept at using C++, Python, MATLAB, and can easily learn and adapt to new software languages and packages.

Hackathons and Mentorship

I've been involved in quite a few (and hosted some) hackathons at the regional scale and am looking forward to participating in India-wide hackathons!
I believe when one person teaches, two people learn!
So, I try to be a mentor for any hackathon or workshop whenever an opportunity arises and teach others about the knowledge I've gained! I got selected for the MLH Fellowship, the fun of working with whom was taken away from me by COVID (sigh).
Nevertheless, I've utilized the time being a mentor in the ngGirls Australia workshop aimed at bringing in more Women into Tech, and was focussed on teaching Angular 2.
I was also a Teaching Assistant in my Institute for Computer Programming and Utilisation twice, and have helped over 500+ freshmen students kickstart their coding journey.

I worked as feature developer on Tvarit's platform to improve usability of Machine Learning tools and resources for clients.

    Work Experience

    1. Implemented SHAP value based force plots, decision plots and summary plots to improve model interpretability
    2. Utilised Google's What-If Tool based on Tensorflow for finding counterfactuals in data to determine quick-action points to counter alarming situations
    3. Developed code for finding Conformal Prediction Intervals and performed an end-to-end integration along with Unit Testing of the same on the platform
    4. Read research papers on Multi-collinearity in data and wrote code to counter it using Variance Inflation Factor and Boruta feature importance classifier
    5. Explored Wavelet Transform in Signal Processing and implemented code for the same, and read extensively on Machine Health Monitoring
    6. Implemented code for utilising ARFF datasets to use WEKA software features using API calls from the platform
  • Monash University - Visiting Researcher
    May 2019 - July 2019

I was selected for a 2-month long internship in Monash University Clayton Campus, Melbourne, Australia from a batch of 130 students. I worked with Prof. Neil Cameron, Head of Department of Materials Science who gave me a Letter of Recommendation for my exceptional work contributions and ability to work in groups.

    Work Experience

    1. Fabricated emulsion-templated porous polymer scaffolds (polyHIPEs) using TMPTA, DPEHA and PEGDA monomers to achieve 80 % porosity, following Ultraviolet curing and Soxhlet extraction
    2. Performed controlled in-vitro cell culture on scaffolds using growth media (DMEM), with and without Fetal Bovine Serum (FBS), to study the extent of degradation in both solutions
    3. Optimised printing parameters of a 3D model of trabecular bone scaffold in Simplify3D software, and 3D printed various scaffolds from Polylactic acid (PLA) and Polycaprolactone (PCL)
    4. Analysed PolyHIPE structures using Scanning Electron Microscopy at 500X and 1000X, where samples were mounted on aluminium stubs with carbon tape and sputter-coated with iridium
  • Anheuser-Busch InBev - Data Analyst and Machine Learning Engineer
    April 2020 - June 2020

I was selected as the only intern to ABInBev Analytics (ABIA) from 200+ applicants and am currently working in ZX Ventures, the Global Growth and Innovation vertical of ABIA.

    Work Experience

    1. Migrating the data architecture from Postgres databases to cloud-based Snowflake database using SQL scripting, employing softwares like Pentaho, DBeaver and Rivery
    2. Using custom optimised ML models based on VARMAX, ARIMA, XGBOOST and Holt Winters to accurately model characteristics like Customer Aliveness Probability, New Customers etc.
    3. Working to incorporate trends based on holidays and discount variations to map market spendings and boost revenue.
